Default A question about Dye??

Sup peeps,

I searched this but to no avail...

I'm calling on all u dye expert to help me out here. I been trying for quiet a bit now to dye my -50 off hand (idol) red, but I cannot get it right... Red dye makes it green, green dye turns it brown. I have combo'd all sorts of dyes and cannot get it red...

Can anyone help?

P.S. please move this if it's in the wrong place...

D

Blood Knives cannot be dyed according to the guildwiki.org website.

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Blood_Knife

But it sounds like you are getting a result from the application of dye that is similar to that of a bone staff.

The -50 offhand can be dyed...

And yeah, the colours do look similar, sept when i tried purple, it went brown...

My 55 Necro has red scars, a red fellblade and a green offhand... I really want it to be red...

I'd say you're gonna have to suck this one up and make do with the closest color you can tolerate. Some items just won't dye properly and this is one of them. If you can't achieve at least something close with one dye or two dye combo's then chances are you're not going to get what you want.

Mournblade is right. Some items just don't want to get dyed properly, and 3 or 4 dyes combos are pretty much useless to get a new color, they just change the two dye combo a bit, might just turn that brown a little reddish though.

I just play around with various dye combos when I happen to get enough. Mine's currently green too if it helps ;P
